grandmas vegtable beef soup

1-  1 1/2 pd stew meat
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
1 package frozen mixed vegetables for soup (usually a corn, pea, carrot, bean mixture)
3-4 potatoes cubed
cabbage chopped (use however much you like)
1 box beef broth, also having beef paste is good to add with the broth too
celery and onion chopped
couple all spice
salt/pepper
garlic salt
about 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce

I like barley , so sometimes I add this.

In a pan brown stew meat with salt/pepper/garlic.

put browned stew meat in a large pot, cover with water, and add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, chopped celery and onion, and all seasonings, cover and cook until meat is tender, add all remaining ingredients except frozen veggies, add those towards the end when your potatoes and cabbage are almost cooked through. cover and let simmer. you could probably do this in a slow cooker too.

Depending on how much broth you want you may have to keep adding more water or beef broth.  taste to see how much salt you like.
